Counter-Flow Heat Plate Exchangers
Counter flow Heat Recovery Plate Exchangers (Counter PHE)
Multiple air channels formed by fins generate heat transfer between exhaust air and supply air and consequently heat recovery occur. It is a sensible type. There is heat transfer between the two airs but there is no humidity transfer. It is an advantage not to have a humidity transfer for this type. Exhaust air and supply air are mainly passing from the opposite directions through the heat exchanger. Heat recovery, temperature efficiency, both sides air pressure drop, condensed water freezing risk at winter time are calculated in our company with a software developed specially for this purpose. Exchangers ’s width (W) and height (H) values are fixed, length (L) and pitch (h) values may vary.
Mechanical Properties:
For air flow side, L, U etc. types exist.
Fins are aluminum as a standard. Upon request, marine aluminum, industrial precoated epoxy or hydrophilic fins can be also used. Covers can be manufactured from galvanized sheet metal, upon request aluzinc or aluminum alloy can be used.
